01 Email Centerpoint by this Friday, April 24th to encourage them to eliminate routes from a proposed transmission line infrastructure project that would cut through conserved lands

We need your help.

CenterPoint is proposing new transmission infrastructure in the Hockley area. While project will increase reliability and resiliency, the project’s primary driver is to serve a large, expanding data center that requires significant new electricity capacity.

CenterPoint must evaluate multiple route options. They are currently considering several routes that involve 19 segments – but only one final route will be selected. Public input will help shape that decision. Two of the segments in the potential routes – Segments 5 and 15 – would run through the northern portion of the 6,004-acre historic (1840) Warren Ranch, land that has been conserved by the Coastal Prairie Conservancy and the Warren family. A third segment – Segment 17 – would impact or run directly adjacent to the east boundary of the Warren Ranch and the northern boundary of a conservation easement property held by CPC.

Take Action: Please email CenterPoint and ask them to eliminate Segments 5, 15, and 17 from consideration. Email: HockleyTransmissionProject@CenterPointEnergy.com. Email by Friday, April 24 at 5:00pm. Recommended language that you can copy and paste is provided in the attached guide.
