Long-Term Volunteer Form
Want to volunteer regularly with the Coastal Prairie Conservancy? Fill out the form below.
Regular, long-term volunteers are those that participate with the Coastal Prairie Conservancy beyond simply ‘showing up’ for an event. Long-term volunteers often help to lead projects or programs, assist with stewardship and nursery tasks regularly, host outreach events, or even take-on independent projects. These volunteers are a core part of our stewardship and outreach teams, and we appreciate your interest in joining us!
Long-term Volunteer Training
The Coastal Prairie Conservancy hosts Lead Volunteer Trainings every February and September at the Indiangrass Preserve. These sessions are a great opportunity for both new and returning volunteers to learn more about CPC’s current work and build on existing skills. The next lead volunteer training is scheduled for February 5, 2027, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
During the training, participants hear updates from CPC staff, learn about the history of the Katy Prairie and the ecology of the coastal prairie, and get an inside look at ongoing projects and volunteer opportunities. Whether you’ve volunteered once or for years, attending a training is a fun and informative way to deepen your connection to the prairie and meet fellow conservation enthusiasts.
