 Thank you for signing the waiver below. Please follow these safety reminders as well as you prepare for your event on the Katy Prairie!

1) Dress for the Prairie. 

Long pants and boots help protect us from thorns, mud, and insects. 

2) Wear Sun Protection.

Sun Protection is vital on the prairie. Please wear a hat and sunscreen.

3) Watch for Wildlife.

The Katy Prairie is home to many plants and animals. While most are harmless to humans, please exercise caution near these species and observe from a safe distance. 

• Fire Ants

• Venomous Snakes

• Bees and Wasps

• Spiders

• Ticks

• Poison Ivy

4)  Please Watch Your Step.

The ground can be uneven with vines and tall grass.

5) Drink Water.

Bring a water bottle on your visit. Dehydration happens quicker than you might think!
