Coastal Prairie Conservancy Docents & Guides
Join our dedicated group of educators and naturalists! Coastal Prairie Conservancy Docents assist with guided tours, school field trips to Indiangrass Preserve, outreach programs, and other environmental education opportunities.
Program Information
To be a Coastal Prairie Preserve Docent is to inspire an appreciation for the natural world, wide open spaces, and local history, all within our coastal prairie ecosystem. Docents provide vital support for the Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s mission and ensure science education and environmental awareness for generations to come!
Our docents benefit from ongoing trainings, special invitations to Coastal Prairie Preserve properties, and opportunities to develop their own knowledge and expertise with like-minded friends.
How to Join
Email Bethany Foshée, Stewardship and Outreach Director, to learn more about the program and current opportunities. Register for our upcoming Docent Trainings and shadow opportunities after meeting with Bethany or attending a Volunteer Orientation.
